Professor Josh Mancuso
The first Baton Rouge produced Gracie Jiu Jitsu Blackbelt and a 1st Degree IBJJF Certified Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, a Brown Belt in Judo under Doug Fournet, and the Southern Regional Director for the Soul Fighters BJJ Team. Josh has been training jiu jitsu for over 12 years and has been teaching BJJ in South Louisiana for many of those years to hobbyist and competitors alike. Not only coach to many jiu jitsu practitioners, but also coach and cornerman to many local Mixed Martial Arts fighters. Josh has competed in many jiu jitsu tournaments, super fights, and continues to stay actively competing. His passion is spreading jiu jitsu as far and as wide as he can. With the hopes of it touching others in the same life changing way it has touched him.
Professor Erick Raposo
Professor Erick has relocated to Baton Rouge from his home town of Rio de Janeiro to partner with Professor Josh as the head instructors. Professor Erick is an IBJJF Certified 2nd Degree Black under Bruno “Tank” Mendes of Soul Fighters BJJ Association. Also a seasoned referee for the International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation, multiple time Super Fight, IBJJF Open Champion, American & Brazilian NoGi National Champion. Erick started practicing Jiu-Jitsu in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil in his early teens. Since that time, Raposo has dedicated his life to teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to kids, adults, and families as well as competing and winning at the highest level in BJJ. Professor Raposo teaches all his classes with a passion that has helped many of his students reach new heights and improve not only their skill level on the mats but also their confidence, courage, and character. He is jiu jitsu.
