JM Modern Jiu Jitsu ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through jmmodernjj.com and our gym, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you request a free trial, we collect your name, email, phone number, how you heard about us, and the day and class time you prefer. If you choose to share anything in the optional notes field (like previous training or injuries), we collect that too. When you become a member, we collect the information needed to manage your membership, such as contact details, date of birth, emergency contact, and your signed waiver.

Payment information. Membership payments are handled by our gym management and payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on our website.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours uses cookies and similar tools to understand how visitors use the site and to measure our advertising. This includes Squarespace analytics, Google (Google Ads and Google Analytics), and the Meta Pixel (Facebook and Instagram). These tools may collect things like pages you visit, the device and browser you use, and whether you submitted a form after seeing one of our ads.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to respond to your free trial request and schedule your first class, manage memberships, billing, and attendance, keep you safe on the mats, send you gym updates and our newsletter, and measure and improve our website and advertising.

Calls, Texts, and Emails

When you submit a form on our site, you agree that we may contact you by phone call, text message, or email about your request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts, and use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email to stop receiving those.

Advertising and Cookies

We advertise on Google, Facebook, and Instagram. These platforms may use cookies to show you our ads and to tell us whether our ads are working. You can control this in your browser settings and through these tools:

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the gym and this website (such as Squarespace, our gym management software, payment processors, email providers, Google, and Meta), and only as needed for them to do that work. We may also share information if required by law or to protect the safety of our students and staff.

Health Information

Anything you tell us about injuries or health is used only to keep you safe in class and is shared only with our coaches.

Children

Our Kids Jiu Jitsu program is booked and managed by parents or guardians, who provide any information about their child. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Your Choices

You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the personal information we have about you by emailing info@jmmodernjj.com with the subject line "Data Request." We will respond within 30 days. We may keep certain records we are required to keep, such as billing, tax, and waiver records.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website or storage system is completely secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
